NOTE: If you submitted your picks on Friday, but you don't see them up here yet, it's because I didn't get them: there appears to have been a problem with the website on Friday. If you get this message before the Oscars start (around 5:00pm) please submit your picks again -- I'll check for new submissions at 5:00pm and include them in the pool, even if I don't get around to posting them on this webpage.

This is year number five of the Captains of the World Oscar Pool. Unfortunately, we're starting a little bit later than usual, and the awards are airing a little bit earlier than usual, but I'm hoping we can hit $80.00 in the prize pool this year.

Here are The Rules:

• The "entrance fee" remains at a paltry $2.00.
• The awards air on Sunday, February 25th starting at 5:00pm. I'll accept entries up until the morning of that day, and if you decide to make changes to your entry, I'll accept them up to the same time.
• I have to update the listings by hand, so you won't see your entry reflected on this site until a day or so after you submit your entry.
• Haven't seen many (or any) of the nominated movies? Who cares! It's not like that would really help you much anyway!
• Feel free to pay your entrance fee at any time, and then submit your actual entry sometime later on. Conversely, you could submit your entry first and then pay me later.
• If there is a tie, the person who correctly picked the most "big five" categories (the acting awards and Best Picture) will take the pot.
• If I (Geoff) win, I'll split the pot with the runner-up.
